Rapeseed oil is easily absorbed, softens and nourishes the skin. It provides the skin with nutrients,
vitamins, and healthy fatty acids. Rapeseed oil also contains vitamin E and
phytosterols which can have anti-inflammatory and protective effects on the skin.
In addition to its skin care properties, our Rapsodine heart beats extra hard for
rapeseed oil because it is produced in Sweden. This way, we can reduce our climate footprint
from long-distance transportation. Rapeseed oil is actually one of the few vegetable oils
suitable for skincare that we can grow on a larger scale in Sweden.
For which skin types is rapeseed oil suitable?
Natural rapeseed oil is suitable for all skin types. Thanks to its moisturizing and nourishing
properties, it is particularly good for dry and problematic skin. Rapeseed oil is also effective
in relieving eczema and skin cracks, for example on feet and hands. Its natural and
nourishing formula is also excellent for use on children's delicate skin. There are
studies showing that rapeseed oil in its pure form is better than cortisone.
Benefits of cold-pressed organic rapeseed oil
We only use organic cold-pressed rapeseed oil in our skin and hair care products.
Cold-pressing the rapeseed oil means that the rapeseed is gently pressed at a temperature that
does not exceed 35 degrees Celsius. This process ensures that the rapeseed oil retains important vitamins, minerals,
and antioxidants that would otherwise be lost in a refined oil.

We have a close and long-standing collaboration with Gunnarshögs Gård, which produces the
cold-pressed organic rapeseed oil we use in our products. Like us,
they are a family business with their own production that prioritizes sustainability. On their
family farm in Österlen, they produce cold-pressed rapeseed oil from their own rapeseed fields,
as well as from other growers. This allows them to ensure sustainable quality throughout
